At Jessie and James, we aim to be contemporary whilst combining historical influences and modern innovative pattern cutting systems to create truly unique and playful collections. Every garment is considered in its detail and cut.
Both in the early days of Jessie and James, and still to this day, we draw from our experiences working at Vivienne Westwood and our passion to create beautiful unique clothing. That passion, creativity and excitement is resonated in our motto ‘A day without laughter is a day wasted’, a quote by Charlie Chaplin.
Typical of our collections is jersey combined with woven, which can be seen in our range of dresses. These versatile pieces are suitable for both day wear and party wear to stand out from the crowd and are especially loved by our little customers because of the comfortable feel and the cool styles.
Beautiful outerwear styles consist of asymmetrical, elegant coats with flared silhouettes sitting next to tailored suits, understated ‘chic’ with a twist. Our colour palette is based on a classic range of navy, red, pink and grey melange. We combine these colours with individually chosen jacquards, prints and checks that reflect the inspired theme of the season.
Our ethos is to create comfortable garments, after all it is childrenswear, and for us luxury means both comfort and fashion combined. We enjoy every aspect of the design process and hope our collections bring our customers much happiness. For us, designing is a pleasure.
It is not only the fabric, but the cut of the garments that defines our brand. Our designs play with a variety of shapes, circles, spirals and squares folded in unconventional ways to create exciting, new silhouettes. We do not limit ourselves in fabric consumptions or design effort to create our individual styles, which we hope will be recognised both now and in years to come.
Our aim is to offer clothing that is unique, original and design led. We strive to always stay true to our identity, which means we focus less on trends and more on our own fashion movement.
