Deconstructing the Wavy Dress

Deconstructing the Wavy Dress

Welcome to the first in our series of blogs, which go behind the final product and allow you to see how they were created.

Our Wavy Dress has been a popular style since AW’15 when it was first created by Jessie. She is always experimenting with new ideas to create volume. Jessie loves working with shapes that she can manipulate and sew in new ways in order to create exciting silhouettes.

The skirt to our Wavy Dress is made completely from one circular piece which is pleated in order to create these large folds. The skirt is fully lined in a contrast colour to give it a luxury finish. The overall volume from the skirt makes it perfect for twirling around in.

The body of the dress is fitted with empire line seams and a curved shoulder acting as a slight cap sleeve. The combination of top and skirt make for a very pretty party dress. Just in time for all those seasonal occasions you need a party dress for!
This dress has been a best seller in both our AW’15 and SS’16 collections and we hope it continues to captivate our followers and goes on to become as classic as our Squiggle and Starlet dresses.
